There are many ways that parents, grandparents and friends of Westminster can volunteer around our school. If any of the ideas listed below interest you, please e-mail us at info@wcalions.org or call the school’s main office (706.769.9372) and leave a message. We appreciate you!!

• Library Readers
  Read stories out loud once a week to groups of lower school kids. You’ll be reading great stories to great kids sitting at your feet in the library!


• Lower School Field Day
  This event occurs in the spring of the year. You can help us plan the individual events, gather donated supplies, arrange for delivery of equipment, help supervise events that day, and assist with clean-up afterwards... and pray against rain that day!


• WCA 5K
  You can help us find sponsors, send out fliers, prepare food for the participants, or handle registration and advertising.


• Chapel Speakers
  Some of you may want to speak (for 15 minutes) at our Thursday morning Lower School Chapel Service. Come share your heart and the Word of God with our students!


• Teacher Appreciation Committee
  Help us get creative and organize large events and small gestures which let our faculty and staff know how much we appreciate them!


• Book Fair
  Help us work the Book Fair held at WCA (held for one week in the Spring).


• Campbell’s Soup Labels/GM Box Tops
  Organize box tops and labels and send them in so that Westminster can receive the rebates.


• Uniform Resale
  Help facilitate providing parents with a venue for buying and selling gently used school uniforms articles.


• Parent Class Representatives
  Two husband-and-wife couples per class are asked to coordinate class socials outside of school, facilitate good communication within and across grade levels and act as a liaison between families and the administration.


• Hospitality
  The goal of the hospitality committee is to create a warm and inviting environment for school-wide events. 10 people will be needed to help plan and coordinate food, beverages and other items and be available to serve at the school on the day of the event.


• Enrollment/Recruiting
  This committee will work closely with Kelly Cole, Director of Admissions, the Headmaster and the WCA Board of Directors in promoting WCA in the community and planning events or activities that are related to the recruiting of new students.


• Fundraising
  This committee will work closely with the Director of Development, the Headmaster and the WCA Board of Directors in planning and coordinating fundraising activities for WCA.


• Father/Daughter Dance
  This committee is responsible for planning of WCA’s annual father/daughter dance. A minimum of 10 people are needed to begin meeting in January in order to schedule a date for the dance, assist in promotion and registration, coordinate decorations, food, and set-up and clean-up, and assist with activities during the dance.


• Relay for Life
  This committee is responsible for the planning of WCA’s participation in and fundraising for the annual Oconee County annual Relay for Life. Committee members will be responsible for planning, promoting, and fundraising for WCA and will participate with the WCA team on the day of the event.


• Booster Club
  The WCA Lions Booster Club serves and supports all WCA athletic programs. The Booster Club committee will work closely with the Athletic Director and Headmaster to coordinating fundraising activities, membership drives, and promoting athletic events.
